Answers to the questions you ask the most…

Q. How do I download your mixes? They’re FIRE!
A. Short answer… you can’t. We don’t provide the mixes for download, because we don’t have the rights for that. We only allow you to stream them from our website. Songs that we do own the rights to you can find on iTunes, Amazon & Rhapsody.

Q. Can I use a D78 mix for my dance routine?
A. If you somehow find a way to download the mixes, you may use them for your personal use. All we ask is that you give us credit when doing so. (By the way… “personal use” does not include posting/hosting our mixes on any other website.)

Q. Can I use a D78 mix for a performance that will be on T.V.?
A. Uh…not really.  But if you really wanted to you’d need to get a license to use the original song from the record label & our song from Warner Horizon Television.  Or, you could just hire us to do a mix for you… see below.

Q. Can I hire you guys?  How much do you charge for _______?
A. We make a living making music so we’d definitely love for you to hire us.  Feel free to email us with all serious inquiries.  (B, T, Dubz… we’re not cheap.)

Q. What does B, T, Dubz mean?
A. Ask your daughter if you have one.  Otherwise… “by the way…”

Q. When will you guys upload _______? I LOOOOOOOVE that mix/song!
A. Well, Christine, Kristy & Brit we’re glad that you love our work but the shows we work on keep us very busy.  Please be patient and always check back… you never know what might pop up.

Q. Where can I get the Master Mixes from the ABDC Season 1 & 2 Casting Specials?
A. You can find those mixes on District 78 Presents: The Master Mixup Vol.1 & District 78 Presents: The Master Mixup Vol.2. (These are iTunes links. You can also find those CD’s on Amazon & Rhapsody.)

Q. What’s that song in the beginning/middle/end of that mix you did for _______?  I’ve searched everywhere for it and can’t find it…HELP!
A. We get a kick out of reading the “answers” that other people post in the comments whenever someone asks this question.  Here’s the truth: the pieces of the Master Mixes that aren’t part of the “popular” song are original music written, produced and performed by us and sometimes artists we work with. They aren’t full-length songs. Sometimes those original pieces sound like something you may have heard before but they’re not… trust us.

Q. Can you make/When will you release _______ as a full length song?
A. While we’re working on a project we generally have little time to turn the original pieces of Master Mixes we create into full-length songs.  However, we have plans to release “Vibe How We Wanna’ by Stutta Boii and “My Favorite Song” by m2c & J-Skillz soon, but it might be a while.  Bottom line, we truly do appreciate that you guys love our original stuff!

Q. Can I be your intern?
A. If you’re seriously interested, live in the L.A. area, have a working cell phone & reliable transportation, please send us a resume.  Typically our internships last 3 months and are unpaid.

Q. How do you guys make your mixes & what equipment do you use?
A. 1 part hard work, 2 parts determination and 5 parts Jack Daniels.  Well, actually we’re happy to share info on our process and gear.  We’ll be making posts soon about this.  (Stay tuned for the “Anatomy of a Master Mix” series.)
