They have also composed original scores for many films, including BET original films and recent releases by horror legend Charles Band.

As experienced music supervisors, they handled the music departments for many TV shows. They also music supervised and scored the recent film Evil Bong starring Tommy Chong and produced the soundtrack album, available now on Lakeshore Records.

As pop/hiphop/R&B producers, they have placed songs on television shows such as Cold Case, Close To Home, The Road to Stardom with Missy Elliot, and awards shows from The Critics Choice Awards to the TVLand Awards.  Their music has been heard in films such as 20th Century Fox’s Cheaper By The Dozen 2 and Sony Pictures’ DEBS.

They have written and produced releases by independent artists such as neo-soul singer Hilary Van Lier, R&B singer m2c, and Los Angeles up-and-comer Jael as well as established acts such as founding Heavyweights member Volume 10, reggae star Turtleman and Columbia recording artists Blaque.  They have also produced three albums for The Booty Boys, an LA-based rap group consisting of Lightbody and Yaras.

More about the team...

Chris Lightbody’s education at USC School of Cinema-Television landed him work in television music departments and led to a successful transition to composing.  He has played bass and guitar for many bands and is also an MC in The Booty Boys.  He has been featured on the themes for Sports Illustrated’s 20 Greatest for Spike TV and MTV’s Trick It Out.

Robert Steinmiller
began his career as a singer/actor with the first national tour of Les Miserables and went on to star in such films as Jack the Bear and The Ref (with Denis Leary).  Classically trained at piano, drums, and percussion, Robert is also an accomplished vocal and performance coach. He has worked with such talents as Sony recording artist Tiffany Evans and American Idol finalists Anthony Federov, Nadia Turner, and Jessica Sierra.

Spencer Yaras has been involved in hip-hop and hip-hop production since honing his skills as an emcee in his teens.  His interest in technology and education in computer science has kept him on the cutting edge of digital music production and bridges the gap between producer and engineer.  In addition to being a rapper in The Booty Boys, he is an experienced trumpet and harmonica player.  He is also a respected instructor with the Recording Artist Program at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood.
